Toyah contacts Nick to let him know that she has been having excruciating stomach problems. When he comes back from work, he is horrified to see Toyah on the floor.
After driving Toyah to the hospital, Leanne and Nick wait by her bed. But all changes when the doctor tells Toyah some startling news.

Bernie’s breakdown
Bernie confides in Dev about her family’s problems since she’s depressed. She describes Paul and Gemma’s problems after Kit revealed everything to them. She is very hoping that the family can get together. However, she believes they need some alone time to work things out.
But when Beth makes flirtatious remarks to Kit in public, it turns out that Kit is Gemma’s brother and Bernie is his mother. Thus, it won’t take long for the secret to become public.
