Fans of Corrie are certain that DS Lisa Swain is going to start dating someone from Cobbles—and it’s not Carla Connor.
DS Vicky Myers’ character Lisa Swain made her debut on the soap opera in 2021 and has since become involved in multiple significant storylines. She was essential to the case of Lauren Bolton, who went missing (Cait Fitton), most recently.
Fans will recall that earlier this year, the troubled kid vanished and then reappeared on the cobbles in July. It was subsequently revealed that her disappearing act was the work of eerie attorney Joel Deering (Calum Lill).
After manipulating and mistreating Lauren, Joel attempted to kill her and their unborn child when she returned to Weatherfield while carrying his kid.
Fortunately, both she and the infant, Frankie, survived his horrible plan. The truth finally came to light, but to the dismay of Lauren, Lisa, and his fiancée Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown), Joel has avoided punishment for his crimes thus far, according to the Liverpool Echo.
Though Lisa is still working to hold Joel accountable, fans have long speculated that she and Allison King’s Carla Connor are about to get romantically involved. Viewers have seen the spark between the two in a number of shared scenes.
Furthermore, Carla even consoled Lisa as she sobbed about losing her wife. However, some fans think Lisa and Carla will start dating, while others think Lisa and Dee-Dee will be together.
As Lisa and Dee-Dee team up to take down Joel, they are becoming more and more adorable, and people are speculating about a potential romance. Someone cried out on Twitter, saying, “Swain and Dee-Dee should kiss.”
Another speculator predicted: Kit is going to claim that his “superior officer” is acting naughtily. A third tweet said: “DS Swain vows to get Joel and finds another way to cosy up with Dee-Dee.”
