Spoilers for General Hospital (GH) hint at some intriguing happenings in Port Charles. This week, after his return to the small town, Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) will have the opportunity to spend one-on-one time with Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst).
Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) was in LiRic’s orbit when the two crossed paths the week of August 26, and she hurried Lansing away. Nevertheless, he has another opportunity to have a serious conversation this week. It appears that he will seize the chance and run with it.
Rick Hearst, who plays the role, spoke with Soap Opera Digest (SOD) to clarify that Ric wants to “woo” the nurse back. Will she, however, bite the bait?
GH Spoilers: Rick Hearst Talks Ric Lansing’s “One That Got Away”
GH spoilers remind viewers that Ric used some devious tactics to try to win Liz back during his previous stint in PC. As you may remember, he was the one who employed Hayden Barnes (Rebecca Budig) to act as “Jake Doe’s,” a.k.a.
Miller’s character at the time, Drew Quartermaine’s wife. Liz wasn’t happy that Ric had been exposed at the Nurse’s Ball, but she also doesn’t harbor resentment.
Nevertheless, Liz and Ric will get some alone time this week to talk without Carly’s presence. Hearst informs SOD that Elizabeth is the one who escaped for Lansing and that this is a significant occasion for him. The good news is that it appears there will be more scenes in the coming days and weeks.
GH Spoilers: Rick Hearst Talks A Possible LiRic Reunion
“The feelings stay there; the genuine nature of who the two of them were at the beginning of their relationship has never left,” Rick says, revealing that his character never moved on from Elizabeth.
Nevertheless, they have grown older and wiser by their past experiences, relationships, and separation. However, I believe he will constantly attempt to revisit the instance in which he could court her and determine whether there is a chance there.
The expression in each of their eyes… He will realize that this is a different period, but he isn’t giving up the more you see them, the more he truly engages with Elizabeth and approaches and moves toward her while he is in town.
The actor says he wasn’t prepared to delve into LiRic’s dynamics when he signed on for his GH comeback. After all, Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos), his daughter, and her recent loss are the main causes of his comeback. Still, Rick says he thinks viewers will be as “gratified” by what the soap opera has in store for Ric and Liz as he was.
