The ‘nightmare neighbours’ – Lou and Mick – will be living on Mawdsley Street, with Joe Layton playing Mick.
Lou will initially strike up a friendship with Gemma after recognizing her as one of the mums from Bessie Street.
Chesney and Gemma will then meet Mick, not realizing he’s the man who has been following Chesney around in the silver van.
On landing the role, Farrel shared: “I’m so thrilled and thankful to be joining the cast of Coronation Street. I’ve truly been amazed by how incredibly warm and welcoming everyone is.”

Farrel previously appeared on Coronation Street as a Reporter in 2019. She also made her first television appearance in 2014 on rival soap Emmerdale, playing the character Laura Atkinson in one episode.
