The question of who is taking over The Rovers Return appears to have been solved by Corrie fans, and it may be a soap opera legend.
It appeared to be going out of business when Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews) experienced a financial crisis. The boozer was steeped in drama from its 60 years on television.
When Daisy (Charlotte Jordan) and Jenny obtained the money that Stephen Reid (Todd Boyce), Jenny’s ex-boyfriend and general jerk, had taken from Carla (Alison King) before to his murder, things took a turn for the worst.
Believing that she was out of luck and broke due to Stephen’s death, Carla was unaware that cunning Daisy had taken advantage of Stephen’s bank treasure. Together with Jenny, they intended to use the illicit profits to save The Rovers.
However, when Carla pieced together the shady agreement in April, she was furious. According to the Liverpool Echo, she established the rule: “Until you two pay me back every single penny, this place is mine,” she said, asserting her ownership share in the well-known bar.
