Coronation Street star Jack P. Shepherd appeared on Wednesday’s This Morning to discuss his character David Platt’s life being at risk following a hit-and-run incident.
Corrie’s Jack P. Shepherd has left fans on edge after revealing a major spoiler during his appearance on This Morning about the grim fate awaiting his character, David Platt, in Wednesday’s episode.
It turns out David is left for dead following a hit-and-run in upcoming scenes airing at 8pm, which have already caught attention on ITVX.
Recently, David found himself in trouble with Andy, who menacingly wielded a blade and hinted that Harvey Gaskell wants David out of the picture to claim life insurance and settle debts.
Wednesday’s thrilling episode sees David hovering on the edge of death after scheming with a hitman to be deliberately run over!
He’s counting on the payout to settle his debt with gangster Harvey.
But in a shocking twist, pregnant Daisy Midgeley rushes out of the pub at the exact moment David is struck, resulting in both of them getting hit. Clinging to life with Shona Platt by his side, David is losing blood as Kit Green urgently calls for medics.
Meanwhile, Jenny Connor and Daniel Osbourne are beside themselves with worry over Daisy, fearing for the safety of her unborn baby, reports Lancs Live.
The jaw-dropping revelation left Sharon, Ben, and Cat stunned in the studio, prompting Ben to ask, “Jack, is tonight really the end for your character?”
Jack confirmed, “Yeah! I can’t believe we’ve kept it under wraps for so long, but I think everyone will love it!”
Ben then questioned, “Is that a yes or no, Sharon?”
The soap expert explained, “Well, I can’t reveal how it ends tonight—it’s been kept tightly under wraps—but you’re definitely not filming today…”
She added, “You’ve come in on a day you’re not scheduled to film! Has he just dropped a huge spoiler?”
To which Ben responded, “I think he might have!”
Jack said, “I’ve loved my time here, loved playing the character, and it’s a really special episode!”
He continued, “We did something similar when Kylie died—I don’t think viewers saw it coming until I came on This Morning and hinted that the character kind of dies!”
Wrapping up the interview, Sharon teased, “Well, we’d better tune in! All I’ll say is—you’ll get your answer tonight!”
