Coronation Street: As Max is sentenced to six and half years in prison, has Paddy Bever now left?

Were those the final scenes for him?

Last night’s episode of Coronation Street (Monday, March 3) revealed that Max Turner had been sentenced to six and a half years in prison.

This follows the news that actor Paddy Bever will be leaving the soap this year.

But with Max now behind bars, were those his final scenes on the Street? Here’s everything we know.

Coronation Street: Max Turner sentenced to six and a half years in prison

Recently on the cobbles, Max was exposed as the one responsible for starting the fire at the Platt house.

In an attempt to help his family, he pushed a petrol-soaked rag through the letterbox, hoping an insurance payout would be enough to repay Harvey Gaskell.

However, Kevin’s garage CCTV captured someone in a distinctive hoodie searching for a jerrycan. It wasn’t long before the police discovered the hoodie in a bin near the factory and traced it back to Max.

Last night, Max appeared in court, where he was sentenced to six and a half years in prison.

Shona believed he could serve less time with good behavior, while David worried that Harvey might track Max down in prison and harm him.

Have Paddy Bever’s final scenes as Max already aired?

It’s been reported that Paddy Bever’s time on the soap is likely coming to an end around now, and Max’s sentencing seems to signal the end of his time on the show.

However, with David still concerned about Harvey possibly finding Max and hurting him, it’s possible we might see one more scene with Max in prison before his final exit.

Paddy Bever has yet to release a statement marking his departure from the show, and hasn’t made any announcements on his personal social media or the official Coronation Street page.

Typically, stars film a ‘goodbye’ video once their final scenes have aired, so there’s a chance we’ll see Max again before Paddy officially leaves the ITV soap.

Will you be sad to see him go?
