Coronation Street fans’ minds blown after hearing Daisy star’s real voice for first time

Charlotte Jordan, who has starred as Daisy Midgeley on ITV’s Coronation Street since 2020, shocked fans when they heard her real voice for the first time.

Coronation Street fans were stunned to hear Charlotte Jordan’s real accent for the first time.

The actress has portrayed Daisy Midgeley on the iconic ITV soap since 2020, arriving as Jenny Connor’s stepdaughter (played by Sally Ann Matthews). During her time on Coronation Street, Daisy has been at the center of major storylines, from harrowing acid attack plots to shocking secret romances.

At the moment, Daisy is caught up in a dramatic paternity mystery, with either Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) or her ex, Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard), possibly being the father of her unborn child.

In a shocking turn of events last month, fans were left stunned when it was revealed that Charlotte Jordan had made the decision to leave the show. In an emotional farewell, Charlotte shared a statement saying: “My time at Coronation Street is something I’ll always cherish. After four fantastic years playing Daisy, it’s time for me to move on and pursue new opportunities.”

More surprises followed when Coronation Street fans were stunned to hear Charlotte’s real voice, leaving many in disbelief. One viewer took to social media, saying: “I was today years old when I saw a clip of Charlotte Jordan (Daisy) speaking in her natural voice and realized she’s not Northern, she’s from Surrey.”

Fans were shocked to learn that the actress behind Emmerdale’s Daisy isn’t actually from the North as she appears on screen. One person tweeted, “What?! Is she?” with another replying, “Yeah, she’s from Chobham in Surrey. I had to Google it when I heard her real accent!”

The shock continued, with one viewer posting: “Please tell me I’m not the only one who never knew Daisy’s voice isn’t actually her real voice. I need a few working days to process this because WHAT,” reports Plymouth Live. Another fan shared their confusion, saying: “Completely different! I hardly recognized her.”

Charlotte, with her Surrey roots, began her acting career under the name Charlie Evans, first appearing on The Bill in 2007. She didn’t stop there, also taking on the role of Serna in Nickelodeon’s Summer in Transylvania.

It wasn’t until 2016 that she fully embraced her real name, Charlotte Jordan, and landed a role in Angel of Decay, marking her breakthrough. Since then, Charlotte has caught attention in Casualty, made an appearance in Netflix’s Free Rein, and starred in the short film Tracks.
