Everyone is seeking answers.
David and Leanne faced the consequences of the Platt fire in tonight’s episode of Coronation Street. However, with both now under arrest, what comes next?
After months of teasers, the Platt house has finally been destroyed. Yet, days later, the true culprit remains unknown, with several suspects in question.
Wednesday’s episode (February 5) provided some clarity on David’s whereabouts, but soon after, both he and Leanne were taken into custody. So, what’s next for them?

David and Leanne arrested for Coronation Street fire
As one of the key suspects in the fire, David’s story began to unravel. When Todd recognized Andy as a friend of Paul’s from prison, he informed Sarah. Before long, word spread, and suspicion fell on David.
Meanwhile, at the hospital, as Max was about to be taken off his ventilator, David confessed the truth to Shona. He had been acting as a getaway driver for Andy’s warehouse job. As they argued, Kit arrived to arrest him—thanks to Nick.
Elsewhere, Leanne opened up to Steve (after he pressured her) about her whereabouts during the fire. She admitted she had lied about being at Oliver’s grave and revealed she had woken up with a pack of matches in her pocket after throwing vodka at the house where Toyah was. Though she insisted she only used them to light a candle for Oliver, Steve urged her to go to the police.
When Leanne refused to listen, Steve told Tracy, who wasted no time exposing Leanne’s deception to the entire pub—where Sarah overheard everything, likely ending their friendship for good.
By the end of the episode, Max opened his eyes and asked Shona where David was. But before we saw her response, the camera cut to Kit escorting Leanne into the station.

What happens next?
With Coronation Street off the air for the rest of the week (thanks to football!), next week’s spoilers reveal that Leanne is no longer in custody.
Leanne struggles as she waits for the police to decide whether she’ll face charges, with forensics examining fresh evidence.
While she’s back out, the same can’t be said for David, who remains behind bars.
Kevin shows Nick and Shona CCTV footage of the arsonist, but Shona is visibly shaken by what she sees and quickly tries to conceal it.
Meanwhile, Adam pushes Kit to release David, arguing there’s no solid proof he was responsible for the fire. Even Nick starts to regret ever doubting him.
His efforts seem to pay off, as David is soon back at the pub, where he meets up with Andy—an unwise move. Andy hands him £2K for his role in the robbery, but when he offers him an even bigger job, will David take the risk or walk away?
