Coronation Street actress Brooke Vincent has hinted that she’d be open to returning to the soap as Sophie Webster. She left the show in 2019 when her character Sophie decided to travel the world with Kate Connor. However, Brooke has now expressed her interest in returning to the cobbles.

It’s been over five years since she left Coronation Street, but Brooke Vincent has now sparked hope that her character Sophie Webster could be making a return.

Brooke originally left the show in 2019 after the birth of her son Mexx, with Sophie written out to go travelling as a result of Brooke’s pregnancy. During her time away, Brooke also gave birth to her second son, Monroe.

In a recent appearance on the Naughty Corner Podcast with Charlotte Dawson, Brooke was asked if she’d consider returning to Corrie. She responded, “I think I would. Now that the kids are a bit older and starting school, I’d love to go back.”

How could Sophie Webster return to Weatherfield?

Currently on Coronation Street, Sophie’s dad Kevin Webster has been diagnosed with testicular cancer.

He’s already had surgery to remove one of his testicles, and further tests are being done to determine whether the surgery was successful.

Sophie and her sister Rosie were recently mentioned by Sally and Kevin, with Kevin acknowledging that the girls would need to be told about his cancer in case it affected their future children. Sally reassured him that she would handle the conversation, and there was no need to worry, as they were not planning to have children anytime soon.

With Kevin’s brother Carl set to make an appearance on the soap, could Sophie’s return be on the cards as well? It would certainly make sense!
