Nicola Thorp was shocked when she learned that Errol Musk had fathered a child with his stepdaughter, whom he had raised since she was four years old.
Nicola Thorp has criticized Elon Musk’s father after the 79-year-old made shocking remarks about having a child with his own stepdaughter.
The former Coronation Street actress, known for advocating equality and women’s rights, reacted to a clip of Errol Musk discussing his unusual relationship with his stepdaughter, Jana Bezuidenhout.
Jana’s mother, Heide Bezuidenhout, married Errol when she was 25, while he was 45. Errol had been a father figure to Jana since she was four years old.
Years later, in 2014, Errol, then 70, and Jana, 29, entered into a romantic relationship, which resulted in the birth of their son in 2017.
Speaking with Joshua Rubin on the Wide Awake Podcast, Errol Musk revealed that when his stepdaughter first told him she was pregnant, he initially refused to believe it, saying, “She said, ‘I’m pregnant.’ I replied, ‘I don’t really believe that,’ because that’s a typical story women tell.”
This remark appeared to leave Nicola Thorp stunned, as she took to Instagram, writing, “Absolutely astounding. The fact that he had the audacity to claim that a woman being pregnant is ‘classic female behavior’ rather than the biological result of sleeping with his stepdaughter.”
Nicola wasn’t alone in her outrage. One user commented, “Having a child with your own stepdaughter and then doubting her when you literally raised her? The whole situation is disgusting.”
Another added, “‘It’s not mine’ is a standard excuse for men. Let’s not twist things, jack hole.”
Another person chimed in, asking, “What on earth would make him think this is okay?”
While many are shocked by Errol’s relationship with a woman he helped raise, Elon Musk has previously described his father as evil.
Speaking to Rolling Stone, Elon said, “He was such a terrible human being. You have no idea. My dad carefully plans out his evil deeds. He will plot evil. You can’t even imagine how bad. Almost every crime you can think of, he has committed. Almost every terrible thing you can think of, he has done… It’s so awful, you wouldn’t believe it.”
A year later, Daily Mail tracked down Errol Musk for a response, and he dismissed his son’s accusations, saying, “Elon needs to grow up. He needs to get over himself. I’m not going to retaliate. I’ll just wait until he comes to his senses. He’s throwing a tantrum like a spoiled child. He doesn’t get his way, and now I’m supposedly some evil monster.”
