One observant Coronation Street viewer has shown their dedication to the show by spotting a unique detail that hasn’t been seen in over 20 years in the latest episode of the beloved soap.

One Coronation Street viewer has noticed a unique detail that hasn’t been seen in over 20 years.
While the soap is facing some challenging times, with numerous cast changes and the Platt house set to implode, some fans are still enjoying their tri-weekly episodes.
The sharp-eyed viewer took to Facebook to share their discovery, posting two images of two cars—one seemingly belonging to Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell) and the other a police car. The fan noticed that both cars share the same number plates. They wrote: “I noticed on tonight’s Coronation Street that Kevin is driving a Vauxhall Astra, which was a police car in episodes from 20 years ago.”
“Left picture is 2025, right is 2005. 50-year-old male, size 10 shoe, and has an eye for registration plates,” they added. Others in the comments were amazed by the discovery, with one person replying: “That’s incredible that you noticed. Hats off to you.”
One fan commented: “What a spot!” while another added: “How did you even notice that?!”
This sharp observation comes after fans believe they’ve figured out when Mason Radcliffe will return, amid rumors that he might not actually be dead. The young character (played by Luca Toolan) first appeared on the cobbles in 2023 as a school bully.
Earlier this month, events took a dramatic turn when Mason’s brothers tracked him down after he reported them for the murder of Betsy’s mum Becky. Realizing his safety was at risk and that his brothers would likely seek revenge, Mason made plans to leave Weatherfield.

Disaster struck when Matty and Logan found Mason and stabbed him with Dylan Wilson’s (Liam McCheyne) zombie knife. Abi Franklin (Sally Carman), whose own son Seb Franklin (Harry Visinoni) tragically died after an attack in 2021, desperately tried to save Mason as he bled from the stab wound in the children’s play area.
Mason was quickly rushed to the hospital when the ambulance arrived, but it wasn’t long before shockwaves hit the street, as news spread that Mason had sadly passed away. The cobbles were left reeling from the devastating news.

But fans remain skeptical about this turn of events, with some believing that Mason might still be alive and involved in a shocking witness protection plot twist. Speculation is running wild among viewers, who have taken to social media to share their theories about when he’ll make his return.
According to online discussions, fans are guessing that he could make a dramatic entrance at his own funeral, causing a major soap opera stir. On a Corrie fan page on Facebook, one user posted: “Who else thinks Mason will return at his funeral?” Another replied: “I was thinking that.” Then, a third added: “If the witness protection twist is true, that would be epic.”
