Martin dies in EastEnders 40th anniversary
During EastEnders’ 40th anniversary live episode, Martin was trapped under a heavy piece of metal following the fire at The Queen Vic.
Stacey stayed by his side as the emergency services worked to rescue him. Martin and Stacey shared a heartfelt moment, declaring their love for each other and discussing their plans for the future, even talking about remarrying.
However, disaster struck when Martin developed crush syndrome and suffered a heart attack, leading to his death at the end of the episode.

In the same episode, Linda urged Denise to seize the moment and pursue what truly makes her happy.
