General Hospital (GH) spoilers suggest that Port Charles is staying true to its dramatic roots during February sweeps. The Thursday, February 20 episode delivered some intense moments that had viewers on the edge of their seats.

In one gripping scene, Brook Lynn Quartermaine-Chase (Amanda Setton) finally revealed to Harrison Chase (Joshua Swickard) that she had secretly been pregnant as a teenager.

Meanwhile, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) shot and killed Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) after he made a chilling confession about murdering both Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) and Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) with digitalis injections.

In a surprising twist, Josslyn called on WSB Agent Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) for help instead of Jason Morgan (Steve Burton).

Life Will Never Be The Same For Josslyn – And Others!

GH head writers Elizabeth Korte and Chris Van Etten recently spoke with Soap Opera Digest (SOD) about what’s ahead for Port Charles.

The writers reveal that Cyrus’ death will serve as a major turning point for several characters, especially Josslyn. They mention that Joss proved she could track down Dex’s killer and, more importantly, save herself when Cyrus threatened her.

However, they acknowledge that Joss didn’t handle this alone. They add, “Brennan has been lurking in the background, offering subtle hints and bits of information. We’ll soon find out why. Brennan’s presence in Port Charles and his closeness to Carly is no accident.”

They also clarify that Brennan’s feelings for Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) were unintentional, and the potential romance between them will soon come into direct conflict with his plans for Josslyn.

The writers further note that both Joss and Carly will be pulled into Brennan’s world, and many GH characters will be caught in this storyline as family and friend loyalties — including Jason’s — are put to the test.

BLQ’s Baby Bombshell

GH fans have been enjoying the slow burn of this storyline, and it’s been a thrilling ride! Recently, BLQ confided in Chase, and the good news is that he won’t be angry with her. Instead, he’ll feel sympathy for everything she’s been through.

However, there’s still a major revelation on the horizon: Gio Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) is actually BLQ and Dante Falconeri’s (Dominic Zamprogna) son — and Dante still needs to be brought into the loop.

But the writers, Van Etten and Korte, tease a plot twist that’s about to shake things up, and her name is Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening). They mention, “She (Lulu) has her parents’ knack for uncovering mysteries and won’t tolerate injustice. If she discovers that Dante has a child, and that his existence has been hidden from him, Lulu will stop at nothing to expose the truth… Lois and Brook Lynn be damned.”

It looks like Gio’s origins will create chaos not only within the Quartermaine and Corinthos families but also for Gio himself. And it seems no one will be happy with Lulu exposing this secret.
