General Hospital Spoilers: Is The New Lawyer Just What The Doctor Ordered?

General Hospital spoilers tease that a new man is in town, and he might be just what Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) needs. Could this new lawyer help Lucas move on from Brad Cooper (Parry Shen)? Is he the one to heal Lucas’ broken heart and offer him a fresh start without Brad?

Port Charles Scores A New Lawyer

According to TV Insider, Adrian Anchondo has joined General Hospital in a new contract role as Marco, a lawyer. He made his debut in the episode on Thursday, March 13.

This marks Anchondo’s first daytime role and his first time playing an attorney. He brings extensive experience from primetime series like How to Get Away With Murder, The Rookie, and Law & Order: Organized Crime.

Anchondo shared with TV Insider, “I don’t think I’ve ever played a lawyer. I’ve definitely been on the other end from Viola Davis grilling me on How to Get Away with Murder, so that’ll take getting used to.” Since Anchondo screen-tested with Van Hansis, it seems likely that he could be playing Lucas’ new love interest.

Should Lucas Jones Be Very Careful Around Marco?

Anchondo described his character Marco as “very sweet and charming,” adding, “and, of course, it wouldn’t be a soap opera without dark secrets somewhere.”

He also mentioned that Marco is “very intelligent and very articulate,” noting that this is quite the opposite of his own personality. There’s a clear connection between Marco and Lucas, but Anchondo emphasized that it’s important not to rush from one complicated relationship to another.

Lucas and Brad had just admitted they still had feelings for each other when Brad finally decided to be honest with Lucas, doing the one thing Lucas had always asked. However, this honesty didn’t lead them very far, as Brad still hasn’t changed as much as Lucas had hoped. Brad remains caught up in blackmailing others to get what he wants.

Marco Can’t Be Worse Than Brady Cooper Right?

While everyone in Port Charles has their fair share of secrets, this new guy could follow Lucas back to town—and may prove to be more dangerous than anticipated.

Lucas has already shared some personal details with Marco, though it might have been better to wait until they got to know each other more. But hey, there’s always the chance they might not cross paths again.

If Anchondo’s perspective on the relationship is any indication, he seems optimistic about it. He shared that this new role allows him to reconnect with Van Hansis, whom he first met 20 years ago at the Williamstown Theater Festival. “It’s funny because I remember having a little crush on him back then, and we’ve been in the same circles with mutual friends. So, I felt totally comfortable,” Anchondo recalled.

It seems like Lucas might soon be saying “Brad who?” as this new connection deepens.
