In an appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show, he shared that it was an incredibly difficult experience, describing it as “one of the most unimaginably overwhelming logistical and emotional traumas that you can imagine.”
According to Celebrating The Soaps, the good news is that Cameron Mathison’s family was unharmed in the fire, and they are all safe. However, their home—filled with memories and hopes for the future—was lost. Tragically, many others were not as fortunate, losing their homes as well. Despite the devastation, he expressed gratitude that no one in his family lost their life, choosing to focus on the positive aspect of their safety.
In his Instagram video on Tuesday, Cameron Mathison continued to focus on the positives. He expressed gratitude for the love and support he received from so many people. Additionally, he shared that he had found a “nice rental” with multiple levels and a “cold plunge” pool upstairs, highlighting the silver linings during this challenging time.

In his recent video, Cameron Mathison expressed heartfelt gratitude for all the support he’s received, sharing that many fans have been asking how he’s doing. He mentioned that the first three weeks were tough, but he’s thankful to have found a new rental in Silver Lake.
He also shared that, despite losing many things in the fire, he managed to save a cherished Buddha statue, which now has a place of honor near a couch donated by his friend, Eva LaRue. Cameron mentioned receiving many offers of help, from places to stay to donated dishes, but it was the overwhelming kindness and generosity from others that really touched him.
Ending the video, Cameron said, “I just love you guys” and expressed deep thanks for the support from everyone.
