Viewers of Coronation Street were filled with anxiety for Lauren Bolton when her assailant Joel Deering devised a dark scheme in Wednesday’s episode in an attempt to permanently get rid of her.
Fans of Coronation Street were gripping their seats during Wednesday’s (July 31) episode while Joel Deering plotted his next move against Lauren Bolton.
The character is currently residing in her assailant Joel’s apartment and is expecting his child. She recently returned to Weatherfield after going missing.
In the most recent development on the ITV soap opera, Joel arrived at the apartment where he was providing refuge to Lauren, who is pregnant, carrying food. Pretending to care about her eating habits, he pretended to be concerned about their unborn child.
Later, when Lauren showed up at the police station, Joel was distracted from his work and worried she was going to reveal his transgressions.
The abuser was alarmed to learn that Lauren was merely there to retrieve her belongings, which had been taken from Roy Cropper by the police following his arrest.
According to the Express, the villain was thrown into disarray once more when he heard from his partner Dee-Dee on the phone. She told him that she had accepted a parcel on his behalf, thinking it was a gift for her.
Joel raced to their apartment to get the delivery, but Dee-Dee couldn’t figure out why ‘E. Smith’ was on the envelope.
He immediately began to tell a story, stating that it was given to their house on behalf of a client who was abused at home. Dee-Dee doesn’t know that Lauren Bolton is having an affair with bad guy Joel’s sprog, or about his prior shady attempt on her life.
Joel was devastated to discover a stockpile of pills as he tore open that mysterious parcel. He broke down into tears.
In previous sequences, Joel was shown searching for methods to induce an early labor, which raised suspicions that he could be planning a sinister scheme for his unborn child.
Fans of Corrie were appalled by Joel’s sinister schemes and expressed their astonishment and anguish on social media without holding back.
