Helen Flanagan says she’ll return to Coronation Street as Rosie Webster on one condition

Legend of Coronation Street Helen Flanagan revealed her ideal comeback plot live on Loose Women, stating that she would “love” to return to Weatherfield as Rosie Webster.

On one condition, Helen Flanagan stated that she would “love” to return to Coronation Street in the role of Rosie Webster.

When the nine-year-old soap siren made her on-street debut in 2000, she immediately won over the hearts of the public. On the long-running show, fans saw her develop over time as the wayward daughter of Sally (Sally Dynevor) and Kevin (Michael Le Vellkk).

Helen also had a significant role in a number of noteworthy plots; she had a lot of drama during her stay in Weatherfield, from affairs to falling out. However, actress Helen made the decision to leave the serial opera in 2012 in order to seek other acting roles. That same year, she also had a rather remarkable stint on I’m A Celebrity.

Following a brief return in 2017, Helen departed once more in 2018 to take another maternity break in order to give birth to her daughter Delilah. And since then, no one has seen her. Helen made an appearance on Loose Women on Thursday, August 15, where she reconnected with her on-screen mother, Sally Dynevor, who portrays Sally Metcalfe in Corrie.

After being asked if she would return to the soap opera, Helen—who is now a mother to Matilda, 7, Delilah, 5, and Charlie, 2—answered yes—but with one caveat. “If Rosie was a mother, I would really love for her to return so she could give Sally the kids. Coming back and wreaking havoc would be a lot of fun, in my opinion,” she said.

Helen stated in a previous year’s exclusive interview with Daily Star that she would “love” to go back to the show. She exclaimed: “I’d love to go back to Corrie, I really, really would, but it has to be when the time’s right because my little boy’s only young, he’s just turned one.”
