Another exciting week in Albert Square is in store when Chrissie Watts makes a shocking comeback to Walford, Anna Knight finds out she is expecting, and Jack Branning provides an update on the nightclub crush.
Next week, EastEnders icon Chrissie Watts will be returning in Walford, but why is she going back to Albert Square?
The reason behind Sharon Watt’s (Letitia Dean) former stepmother’s move to Walford is unknown, but her arrival is sure to cause a stir.
In another scene, Bobby Beale (Clay Milner Russell) is told by Anna Knight (Molly Rainford) that she is struggling and he wants to lift her spirits. However, Beales has to report to work at Beales’s Eels, so he attempts to get Freddie Slater (Bobby Brazier) to assist.
Freddie invents a weak justification that hurts Anna because he is determined not to be alone with her. Later, Anna makes the decision to ask Freddie if everything is alright between them, but before she can reach him, she experiences a dizzy episode.
When Anna visits Freddie, he says everything is OK but declines to go birdwatching with her. Freddie accepts when Anna recommends they get dinner with Bobby and Francesca Henry’s character, Gina Knight. He believes there’s security in numbers.
But at Walford East, Priya Nandra-Hart (Sophie Khan Levy) teases Gina and Bobby about going on a date, so Freddie runs off and invents yet another flimsy justification.
After hearing about Anna’s distress, Gina decides to investigate Freddie’s issue and quickly discovers that Freddie harbors affections for her as well. When Anna goes looking for Freddie and then passes out at the café before they can have a meaningful conversation, her problems get worse.
Gina questions Anna about her potential pregnancy. Michelle Collins’ character Cindy Beale nearly witnesses Gina purchasing a pregnancy test for Anna. After taking the test at The Vic, Anna finds out she is expecting Bobby’s child.
In the meantime, agitated Amy Mitchell (Ellie Dadd) informs Chelsea Fox (Zaraah Abrahams) that she needs space. Chelsea persuades Denzel Danes (Jayden Ladega) to come see Amy in order to cheer her up, realizing that Amy needs someone to talk to.
Denzel continues to feel that he is the reason Amy was at the club that evening. According to Jack Branning (Scott Maslen), the police tech team is analyzing the tampered video of the crush and will soon discover the real cause of the events of that evening. Will Chelsea own up to the fact that she was to blame for the nightclub crush?
