According to next week’s Coronation Street spoilers, Joel Deering feels abandoned and alone as the net closes in. Joel loses his mind and snaps on the day that should have been his wedding.

And the one who feels the brunt of Joel’s anger is poor Roy Cropper. Roy is stuck and alone with Joel as he staggers inside the cafe. But what is Joel up to with poor Roy?

While Dee-Dee muses on her postponed wedding, Lauren says she has been keeping an eye on Joel’s whereabouts and has noticed some strange behavior.

Coronation Street spoilers: Joel reaches out to Dee-Dee

Joel, bearing their wedding rings, visits Dee-Dee. He assures her that he still cares for her and that the rings serve as a constant reminder of what he has lost.

Dee-Dee recoils in shock and disgust as Ed and Ronnie intervene when she sees Joel giving her a hard time. Will they enforce the law on their own to get Joel fired?

Lauren’s tracking Joel

Subsequently, Lauren informs Dee-Dee that she has been tracking Joel’s whereabouts using a tracker app. She demonstrates to her how Joel has been evidently spending a lot of time in an industrial park and a field.

She then discloses that he has uninvitedly transferred $5,000 into her account. What is Joel getting himself into?

Joel corners Roy

Dee-Dee informs Ed and Ronnie the following day that this ought to have been her wedding day. Joel opens his notebook and composes a letter when he is alone himself in his apartment.

As he leaves, he discovers Roy by alone at the cafe. With a whisky bottle in his hand and an obvious inebriation, he shuts the door behind him, imprisoning Roy.
