Max Bowden, an actor from EastEnders, appeared on ITV Loose Women sporting a new looks and shared details about his departure from the serial opera.
Before leaving the popular BBC serial opera EastEnders, Max Bowden opened up on ITV’s Loose Women about feeling “very tired and depressed,” and he unveiled a new appearance complete with a moustache.
The 29-year-old actor departed his job as Ben Mitchell earlier this year after his persona was imprisoned in the United States for fraud. Before this, he was a part of a heartbreaking plot in which Ben’s daughter Lexi’s mother Lola passed away following the discovery of a brain tumor.
Alongside panelists Judi Love, Denise Welch, GK Barry, and Charlene White on Loose Women, Max acknowledged that the stories touched him personally because his best friend died from the same cancer.
Regarding his pal Max, he remarked, “It went by very quickly.” Max was incredibly successful and the life of the party. I had voiced my concerns to him about football on Friday, and the following day, an undetected brain tumor left him unconscious.”
The celebrity went on, “From a selfish point of view, it was weird to play a story like that, so it was a very dark time for me as I had to process what was going on.”
“There was a moment before you said that you had a burnout towards the end of EastEnders,” inquired Judi. Was that from being on a major soap opera or from having to rewrite a narrative that was personal to you?
Max revealed, “Honestly, because of the nature of what we are doing, I was very tired and depressed.” It was quite intense.
“It was the right time because I was at that point, and it’s important that we do it justice when we’re telling the story of every man and woman.”
Max discussed his new appearance elsewhere in the program, stating that it was actually for his new work and not a “personal choice.”
Max plays the lead role in a theater production celebrating the 30th anniversary of Sebastian Faulks’ novel Birdsong, which narrates the tale of a man’s journey from an intense romantic relationship to the horrors of World War I.
