According to teasers for tonight’s episode of Coronation Street (Monday, October 7), Carla and Lisa enjoy a touching moment in spite of their tense court appearance.
Carla first meets Tom, the father of the young man she knocked over.

The show begins with Carla in a foul attitude. It’s her court hearing day, and things aren’t going well…
Even worse, Betsy informs a significant client that Carla is facing actual bodily injury charges in court. Furthermore, Sally informs them that Sarah is in Turkey, leaving no one in command.
Not off to a terrific start…
Carla meets Tom, the father of the boy she knocked down in court, in the meantime. She’s understandably shocked by this. Will she be able to handle the pressure of the impending divorce?
It appears that the answer is no, since she vents her resentment against Sarah and Betsy at the factory when she encounters irate customers.
Upon her return from court, Tom surprises her by revealing who he really is.
It’s clear he’s angry; what will he say?
To make matters worse, Carla is further perplexed as she and Lisa share a personal, private moment and their chemistry shifts due to a light touch. Lisa, did you experience it too?
Kit’s shocking discovery
However, DS Lisa Swain isn’t exactly off duty after getting an odd call.
Despite Joel’s “death,” Kit retrieves the files from his laptop so they can continue trying to construct a case.
He looks, unable to contain his disbelief. Kit calls his supervisor after picking up the phone.
Paul’s last will and testament
Billy invites Summer, Bernie, and Gemma to his house so he can read aloud Paul’s last wish list to his family.
Despite being deeply grieving, the gang pulls together and tries to be optimistic.
Paul included his VHS cassettes for Bernie, a hoodie for Gemma, a unique cup for Summer, and all of his love for Billy in his heartfelt list of gifts.
He also describes a unique message for Kit, his brother with whom he recently reconciled.

Platt’s money problems
Gail is still demanding payment for her medevac journey home, and the family is still in shock from Bethany’s costly care.
Shona receives word from David that Gail has taken out a loan to pay for the expenses.
Furthermore, he discloses that she is dedicated to selling the house.
The pair fears they may end up without a place to live.
Teenage tantrums
Hope continues to indulge her addiction to vaping by hiding somewhere on the cobbles.
Pulling Ruby, she threatens her if she tells Tyrone and Fiz anything. But her health is still in jeopardy.
Mason, meantime, embarks on his new collage course and tries his hand at a new life.
Stu and Yasmeen bid him farewell and wish him success.
Nevertheless, Betsy and Mason discuss their awful days later in the precinct. Perhaps things did not go as planned.
