Corrie verified Joel’s death
Joel Deering’s death has been formally verified by Coronation Street, and this has sparked a significant murder investigation. But the question is, whodunnit?
His body will be found by some boys strolling by the canal next week. Shortly after frightening Roy Cropper in the café, Joel was last seen. He had a cut on his face and was seated in his car.
Although he left a suicide note in his automobile, authorities discovered he had brought a second car, raising questions about his purported death.
However, after PC Tinker revealed that it was Joel’s body, police tried to apprehend as many of the culprits as they could. These are the top 9 suspects in the murder investigation.
1. Coronation Street: Joel killed by Kit Green?
One person pushed to the front of the suspect line is Kit, the relatively new detective on the case.
Kit has previously demonstrated that he frequently takes use of his police perks and has rather pliable morals.
Furthermore, he appeared eager to assume Lisa’s role as lead investigator once she was fired for her work with Betsy.
Although not much is known about Kit or his abilities, it is clear that he will stop at nothing to achieve his goals, as seen by his threat to destroy Craig’s career over Beth’s discord.
Furthermore, he seems determined to eliminate villains—he even put DNA in Nathan Curtis’ van. Perhaps he was dissatisfied with Joel’s grooming background and killed him off…
2. DS Lisa Swain
Lisa Swain, the other member of the detective team, is also a well-liked suspect among fans.
Lisa hasn’t been at ease talking about Joel’s suicide for the previous week. Furthermore, she insisted that Dee-Dee Joel is deceased even though the attorney emphasized that he might still be alive. Is this a hint that she is aware of something else?
Unlike Kit, Lisa has a purpose. Joel had earlier brought Betsy into the fold and even forced her to order the medications meant to kill Frankie’s unborn child while Lauren was expecting.
Maybe she chose to pay Joel a discreet visit before things became heated. Joel was more than happy to make some jokes and remarks about her when she took him in for interrogation at the station.
Joel’s body was post-mortemed, and the results indicate that he was slain before being buried in the river. According to the findings, it was a blow with a dull object.
There’s discussion of a crowbar. Would Lisa have been able to defend herself with a weapon?
She did, however, seem startled to learn of Joel’s text threats on Betsy’s life. Perhaps a stronger incentive would have resulted from her knowing this sooner.
Still, she and Dee-Dee had been working nonstop to bring him down; she had even told Lauren that she would do it on her behalf.
Coronation Street: Joel killed by Betsy Swain?
Because of her relationship with Joel, Lisa’s kid was subjected to emotional abuse and even got a death threat.
Betsy’s connection with her mother is strained, and she finds it difficult to open up. Perhaps she believed there was nothing else to do.
Although she presents a tough exterior, she is a sensitive young lady on the inside. Joel’s favorite kind of victim, exactly.
Plus we know Betsy is known to do some irrational stuff.
Ed and Ronnie Bailey
Uncle Ed, Ronnie, and protective father had intervened earlier when they saw Joel harassing Dee-Dee on the Street.
After that, they planned to maybe hurt Joel to make sure he understood that he should leave her alone.
Plus, given their hard labor occupations, a crowbar seems like a tool the brothers would have.
In later episodes, Kit asks them questions. Ed’s alibi doesn’t seem to be in doubt, but brother Ronnie faces difficulties.
Dee-Dee informs Ronnie that Joel’s death was reportedly caused by a crowbar. Will viewers catch a glimpse of guilt?
Joel vanished while Ronnie was by herself at home, leading to a potentially illuminating investigation. Joel’s address is also found by the police on his Satnav.
He tells the police that it’s there because he assisted Joel in moving out a long time ago.
But Michael explains to Debbie, who’s throwing Ronnie a party, that he and Ronnie really used his car.
Is Ronnie responsible for this? Perhaps involved with Ed? Or are they keeping something from you?
Coronation Street: Joel killed by Lauren Bolton?
Lauren is asked first about her whereabouts on the night Joel passed away because she was the long-term victim of Joel’s abuse.
She happened to be sleeping at the Platts’ house that night. Is this the necessary alibi for her?
But as David was talking on the phone, we noticed her shifting around on the couch. Maybe after he went to bed, she got up.
Lauren also has a motive because, in addition to abusing her, Joel attempted to kill Frankie by giving her pills when she was pregnant.
Joel’s phone was tracked by her. Perhaps she noticed him by himself and seized the chance.
Future spoilers reveal that Nick asks Lauren how she managed to fall asleep on the couch. She was sitting next to Bobby when the question made her feel uneasy. This could be another hint.
Dee-Dee Bailey
Joel’s disgraced fiancée and injured lawyer, Dee-Dee, has every right to want for his removal, just as the others.
She was the only one who didn’t think Joel could possibly be alive. Perhaps she took matters into her own hands because the police did not act appropriately.
She was the one to install the tracker on Joel’s phone, which she provided to Lauren for her peace of mind.
Could she have found him with this information?
Dee-Dee is on the improbable list because she frequently errs on the side of morality. However, anything can happen with Corrie!
Coronation Street: Joel killed by Ellie Benton?
Ellie, who endured years of abuse at Joel’s hands, is a more subdued character in the investigation; she ultimately came forward to testify against him.
She was initially hesitant, but after learning of baby Frankie’s injuries, she decided to alter her mind. Is this the thing that finally broke the camel’s back?
Perhaps one more victim was too much for Ellie, and she snapped.
Joel also skipped his plea conference. Maybe she believed he would get away again if she didn’t intervene.
Mason Radcliffe
Spoilers alert us to Lisa’s surprise when she finds out Mason owns a crowbar. It’s thought the tool was used as a weapon in Joel’s murder, after all…
Mason chooses to get rid of the weapon after the devoted Betsy informs him that the police are aware of this.
It doesn’t go as planned, though, because Kit sees him throwing it in the trash can.
We don’t know whether the crowbar was used on Joel, but things appear strange.
Mason and his brother Logan had spoken about utilizing the gun for a robbery that Mason was being forced to commit.
Is it only a harmless disposal, or is there another reason?
Coronation Street: Joel is alive?
Naturally, given that Joel’s father was asked to identify his son’s body after being spotted with him just before his death, is it possible that he told lies to the police?
Maybe the reason they met before he passed away was to organize a way out that would spare him a lot of trouble.
Perhaps he is still out there, using his father as a scapegoat.
