Has Joel passed away?
According to next week’s spoilers for Coronation Street, the police discover Joel’s body in the river and look into his death in a whodunit case.
Sam visits a hospital elsewhere after cutting himself with a knife.

Coronation Street spoilers: 1. Joel’s body is found
The cops find something surprising while searching for Joel’s body in the wake of finding his car and suicide note.
Craig and Kit watch Joel and later his father near a locker while examining CCTV footage from a train station parking lot. Desperate to find the truth, Kit follows up with Gus after receiving his lead.
Three boys later witness a body floating in the river while they are strolling by.
Craig informs Lisa and Kit off-screen that Joel is the owner of the body.
While Lisa relays the news to the others in the Rovers, Kit steals himself to tell Dee-Dee and Lauren in the hospital.
Joel was dead before being thrown into the river, according to a post-mortem performed by coroners in the meantime.
As a result, a murder inquiry is launched, and everyone wonders who might be accountable.
2. The investigation
As Kit questions Lauren about her whereabouts on September 27, the night of his murder, other leads are being examined.
In another scene, Dee-Dee tells Ed and Ronnie that Joel was killed.
Joel died from two blows to the head with a heavy object, most likely a crowbar, according to additional post-mortem evidence.
Mason becomes a prime suspect after DS Swain discovers from Yasmeen that she threw him out for having a crowbar while they are on the cobbles.
Lisa, ever the overbearing mother, warns Betsy to avoid Mason, which only piques her curiosity.
Mason gets a heads-up from Betsy that the cops are on him. Mason puts the crowbar in a bin behind the business after hearing her warning.
But things don’t go as planned since Kit catches him in the act.
In the meantime, Dee-Dee informs Ronnie that Joel is thought to have been attacked with a crowbar by the police.
Coronation Street spoilers: 3. Stu threatens to leave
Mason is stirring up trouble on the cobbles, too, this time between Yasmeen and Stu.
Stu is enraged with Yasmeen after she learns a social worker has secured other accommodation for Mason.
Stu informs Yasmeen in a fit of wrath that he is considering moving—not just out, but to Germany.
He claims he wants to be with Eliza and Dom and away from Weatherfield.
And Yasmeen’s response?
4. Bethany’s love life
Daniel, who is still dejected and attempting to make amends, tells Sarah that Bethany has convinced herself that he won’t want to be with her because she now uses a stoma bag.
Although Daniel emphasizes that this is meaningless to him, Bethany, who appears insecure, doesn’t seem to be understanding.
Jenny later reports to Daisy that she ran into Daniel and heard about his difficulties in a relationship.
Daisy is motivated by this and decides to correct Bethany by going to the hospital.
Will she be able to get through to her?
Coronation Street spoilers: 5. Platt plights
David has been carefully reviewing his finances to see if he can afford the house because he is still apprehensive about Gail selling No. 8.
After Jesse promises to help and says he’s taking Gail to Whitby, he becomes very suspicious.
David and Sarah pause to talk about his allegedly “strange” behavior, but David becomes even more concerned when an estate agent shows in and puts up a “for sale” sign.
Unaware of their misgivings, Jesse tells Gail he’d like to get to know her children. He takes Nick, David, and Sarah out to lunch in the Rovers.
When the kids there question him about his money, he says he’s still waiting on some money from the sale of his house.
In another instance, Sarah charges Adam with robbing Damon of his money in the lock-up. Adam reassures her that neither he nor Daniel had anything to do with it, and that Damon’s cousin, who went to “check,” is probably the most likely suspect.
Sarah isn’t done yet, even if David tells her to forget about Damon’s missing money at the meal.
Adam stirs things up by speculating that Jesse might have heard Sarah and David talking about the missing money. Sarah then becomes certain that Jesse stole the money.
When Jesse has to leave early, she follows him.

6. Rowan strikes back
After Rowan’s demise and Nick’s infidelity, Leanne is trying to put the pieces back together.
She advises Toyah that in order to give Nick and Sam more time, the two of them should vacate the apartment. Leanne discloses that she has leased the apartment above the salon; nevertheless, Toyah will need to locate her own residence.
The family receives further unfavorable news when Nick informs David that Rowan is pleading not guilty to fraud and blackmail and that the police have contacted. They will all have to appear in court and provide testimony.
Trying to take his mind off things, Nick flirts with a customer, but doesn’t aware Sam is watching.
Disappointed with his father’s behavior, Sam informs the client that Nick is busy and not available.
Sam cooks a special dinner for Nick and Leanne at the apartment in an effort to rekindle their romance.
But when he tries to open some oysters with a sharp knife, calamity strikes.
Sam phones Asha at number seven, not sure what to do, and shows her a gash he created on his hand.
The smart paramedic Asha brings a drowsy Sam to hospital to undergo sutures.
When Nick’s intentions to bring Leanne and him together end up with him getting hurt, how will they respond?
7. Hope falls ill
At the Dobbs’, Hope’s addiction to vaping is still a major problem.
Fiz tells Tyrone that she’s taking the day off to take care of Hope because she’s too sick to go back to school.
Tyrone believes Hope vaped her way into it and advises a trip to the doctor.
Hope has a chest infection, which Dr. Gaddas confirms, and vaping will undoubtedly have contributed to it.
Is this the alert that tells her to stop vaping?
8. Gemma struggles
Gemma is so overcome by the pain of her brother’s death that she tells Chesney she doesn’t want Joseph to go on the school skiing trip because she is afraid he could get wounded or worse, die.
Although Chesney reassures her, she doesn’t feel much better.
A comprehension Later on, Joseph confides in Chesney that he doesn’t want to travel because he doesn’t want Gemma to feel anxious about him.
Will his decision be accepted by his family?
9. Frankie’s going home
Frankie’s illness is getting better, and a doctor tells Lauren and Max that he should be able to be released the next month.
Bobby leads Lauren’s friends in taking a strong stance in support of her.
He confesses to Max that he still feels deeply for Lauren and that he wants to spend time with her.
But when he finds out that Lauren spent the previous night sleeping on Max’s couch, they start acting strangely around him.
Is there something going on here?
10. Ronnie’s big surprise
Debbie organizes a surprise party for Ronnie on his 55th birthday behind closed doors.
He is delighted to discover the surprise, but his happiness is short-lived as Kit and a coworker show up to interrogate him and Ed.
Ronnie swears he was home alone the night Joel went missing, but Ed claims he was at No.3 with Dee-Dee and Michael.
In an attempt to keep the heat off their backs, Ronnie said he last used the satnav when he and Michael helped Joel move out of his flat decades ago.
When Michael admits during the party that they really used his car to get to Joel’s apartment that time, Debbie is not thrilled and realizes that Ronnie lied to her.
