Fans of Coronation Street can look forward to an extra episode next week as the ITV soap opera makes a significant schedule change, adding a rare weekend slot.
Next week, Coronation Street’s schedule will undergo a significant change due to the highly anticipated Joel Deering murder mystery.
The popular ITV soap opera will return this week at 8 p.m. on Monday and Wednesday. However, because of the Live Women’s International Football coverage on ITV, which airs from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday, October 25, there won’t be an episode at 8 p.m.
In order to make up for it, Corrie will broadcast an extra episode the following week on Sunday, October 27, at 8 p.m., during a rare weekend time slot. After that, the popular ITV soap opera will continue to air every Monday, October 28, Wednesday, October 30, and Friday, November 1, at 8 p.m. on ITV.
It happens in the midst of the compelling Joel Deering, played by Calum Lill, murder mystery on ITV, where a number of cobbler favorites appear to be suspects, according to Liverpool Echo.
Meanwhile, it was revealed earlier this month that fans of Emmerdale and Coronation Street will be able to watch their favorite soap operas online earlier than before.
Episodes will now be available on the streaming service ITVX at 7 a.m., Monday, October 14, considerably in advance of their customary evening times on ITV1. This change is a part of ITV’s novel strategy to provide viewers greater choice over how they watch their favorite television shows.
In addition to this revolutionary “soap drop,” ITVX is going to launch a brand-new destination for everything soap opera. Packed with treats and unique content, it will be neatly served up before the soap operas’ regular TV broadcasts, with the newest chapters tucked right next to it.
Viewers will be welcomed with specific selections devoted to Classic Coronation Street and Classic Emmerdale upon landing on the redesigned ITVX soap area. They will also be treated to anthologies including Greatest Episodes and a specially selected Stars of the Soaps anthology, which will feature drama hits like Michelle Keegan’s Tina and Bobby, Suranne Jones’ Maryland, and Katherine Kelly’s The Long Shadow.
Additionally, there’s a Top Picks option that features Helena Bonham Carter’s empathetic depiction of Noele Gordon, the soap opera queen, in Russell T. Davies’s personal drama Nolly. Crossroads is a landmark daytime drama. Additionally, fans will have access to see some of the most memorable episodes of Crossroads, featuring popular soap opera stars who will present beloved sequences and pick their own personal highlights from ITVX’s lineup.
