Following a recent episode of the ITV soap opera, Coronation Street viewers believe they may be getting ready to welcome a new member of the Lisa Swain family.
Fans of Coronation Street are certain that viewers may be getting a new member of the Lisa Swain family.
Vicky Myers’ character, DS Lisa Swain, has been a regular on the ITV serial opera since 2021. Earlier this year, viewers were introduced to Sydney Martin’s character, Betsy, her rebellious daughter.
Other than the fact that she had a daughter named Betsy and that her companion Becky, Betsy’s other mother, passed quite tragically, not much is known about DS Swain’s life.
The Joel Deering (Calum Lill) whodunit has only recently brought DS Swain and Betsy to the forefront of the ITV soap opera.
According to the Liverpool Echo, the nasty solicitor targeted her daughter Betsy before he vanished and was killed, and DS Swain is looking into the issue.

It comes as viewers’ concerns over DS Swain’s mysterious injuries are addressed and revealed in next week’s spoilers. Viewers were alarmed by DS Swain, who was only recently on the cobbles, when she was seen battling an injury and nearly puking up during the Joel murder mystery.
Additionally, DS Swain’s mystery is both revealed and clarified in next week’s spoilers. Betsy, DS Swain’s daughter, witnesses Lisa’s injuries in the restroom in later scenes, but she doesn’t believe her justification that she did it during a body combat lesson.
When Betsy discovers a bottle of painkillers dated September 28, the situation becomes alarming. Mason is surprised to hear that Joel was slain on that date after she tells him.
When Charlotte Jordan’s character Daisy Midgeley later reveals that Joel was involved in a fight the night he was killed, Betsy becomes even more distraught. Later in the week, Lisa tells Betsy a falsehood, claiming that her bruises were caused by an accident at work.
