David is at risk.
Things are looking bleak for David Platt as last night’s episode of Coronation Street exposed his desperate plan to get Harvey Gaskell off his back – putting him in grave danger. With the gangster hunting him down after David stole money from him last year, David is running out of options.
In a moment of desperation last night (Monday, March 3), David asked his friend Andy – who is secretly working for Harvey – to kill him. This came just moments after Andy revealed his true allegiance, pulling a knife and confessing that he was working for Harvey.

David managed to talk his way out of immediate danger, but it wasn’t long before Harvey struck again. This time, he threatened Max’s life, suggesting he had someone on the inside of Max’s new prison (where he was just sentenced to six and a half years).
With no other options left, David turned to Andy and told him he needed to kill him. “I need you to kill me,” he said. “But make it look like an accident so the insurance pays out.”
This way, Harvey would believe Andy was dead, and Shona could collect the insurance money the family needs to get Harvey off their backs. It seemed like a win-win, right?
But does this mean actor Jack P Shepherd is leaving Coronation Street with David’s death wish hanging over him?

Coronation Street spoilers for this week have revealed that David and Andy will go through with their plan. On Wednesday’s episode, David worries Shona as she sees him knocking back vodka at lunchtime.
Outside, David stumbles into the road – just as Daisy storms out of the pub after a confrontation with Daniel over the parentage of her baby. As she too steps into the road, a car crashes into them both.

The soap has yet to confirm whether David makes it through – and actor Jack P Shepherd hasn’t said anything about leaving Corrie either. While there are several exits planned for this year, Jack’s name hasn’t been listed among them. Could the soap have a tragic twist in store?
Spoilers for the rest of the week tease that the residents will be praying for David and Daisy’s recovery, as Kit starts asking questions about the crash. Will he uncover the truth?
