It’s been a while since TJ has appeared on General Hospital, but actor Tajh Bellow recently took to Instagram to reflect on the achievements of 2024. “What an incredible year!” he exclaimed, tagging the official account of the soap. “Playing Dr. TJ Ashford has been a pivotal experience for my career. As I’ve poured into TJ, he’s also poured into me, offering invaluable lessons in many ways.”
Bellow, who stepped into the role of TJ Ashford in November 2018, has taken part in a variety of intense storylines, but none more emotional than TJ and Molly’s journey through the heartbreaking loss of the baby Kristina was carrying for them, followed by their separation. In his post, Bellow also expressed his heartfelt thanks for the praise he’s received for his performances from both fans and the soap press.
“I want to take a moment to express my gratitude to these amazing sources… who have recognized me alongside my peers throughout 2024,” Bellow wrote. “Experiencing such profound loss on screen required everything I had, and I’m thankful that my performance resonated with all of you.”
Bellow received a nomination for Outstanding Younger Performer at the 2021 Daytime Emmy Awards, and with his powerful performances in this emotional storyline, he might find himself in the running once more this year. Unfortunately for fans, TJ hasn’t appeared on screen since December 2024, and the actor didn’t offer any hints about what’s next.
“I know many of my fans are curious about what’s coming up for TJ,” he shared, “but before I address that, I wanted to take a moment to celebrate everything we’ve achieved together. I’m looking forward to this year’s Emmy Awards!”
Though many fans commented as if this might be his farewell from GH, Bellow didn’t explicitly say anything of the sort. Let’s hope we get to see him as TJ in Port Charles again before the 2025 Daytime Emmy Awards. Stay tuned, and we’ll keep you updated on any news about TJ’s future on the show!
