Cameron Mathison Shows Off His New House

The wildfires that ravaged Southern California in January impacted thousands, including General Hospital star Cameron Mathison (Drew), who lost his home. He has been transparent about the difficult process of starting over with his family and recently shared another update for his supporters.

“I just wanted to give everyone a quick update,” he said in an Instagram video. “Since the fire, I’ve received so much incredible support, and a lot of people have been asking how I’m doing and if I have a place to stay now…”

“The first three weeks were a bit challenging,” the actor shared. “I’m not going to lie. But since then, I’ve found a new rental place, so here I am in Silver Lake, California. It has multiple levels, which is great. There’s a cold plunge on the roof, which is a nice perk. And I managed to save this beautiful little Buddha.”

As Mathison spoke into his phone’s camera, he showed around the rental house, highlighting the Buddha statue and a sectional couch given to him by his long-time friend Eva La Rue (Natalia, GH), his former co-star on All My Children, where they portrayed Ryan and Maria.

The actor also expressed his deep gratitude for the support his family has received during this difficult time. “I’ve had friends offer places to stay, and I’ve received dishes, towels, sheets, and clothes,” Mathison shared. “There’s so much kindness and generosity, and while I may forget some things, I just want to thank everyone… I haven’t posted everything, but I truly appreciate all of you.”

“It’s been a lot,” he said. “Emotionally and logistically, it’s been overwhelming for me and my family. We’re taking it day by day, making progress. I’m really thankful to have a place to stay. It makes things much easier, and the support from all of you means so much. I love you all.”
